Manchester Association of Police Supervisors Appreciates Initial Board Approval of Collective Bargaining Agreement

MANCHESTER, NH — The Manchester Association of Police Supervisors (MAPS) is grateful for the Board of Mayor and Aldermen’s vote to give initial approval to the collective bargaining agreement negotiated between MAPS and the City of Manchester.

While the agreement remains subject to a final vote at a future meeting, tonight’s action represents an important step forward following months of good-faith negotiations between both parties.

MAPS President Rob Megowen thanked everyone involved in the process.

“We are very pleased with tonight’s vote and appreciate the support shown by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. Both sides came together and worked extremely hard to develop an agreement that meets the needs of the supervisors in our union while also recognizing the needs of the City. This has truly been a collaborative effort, and we appreciate the hard work of Mayor Jay Ruais, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, the City’s negotiating team, and our own MAPS negotiating committee.”

Megowen also recognized the recent progress made with the Manchester Police Patrolmen’s Association agreement.

“Together, these agreements demonstrate a shared commitment to investing in the people who provide public safety every day. Competitive compensation is essential to retaining experienced officers and supervisors while helping Manchester remain competitive in recruiting the next generation of law enforcement professionals.”

MAPS looks forward to the final consideration of the agreement and appreciates the professionalism and cooperation demonstrated throughout the negotiation process.
